I have been fascinated with turtles since I moved to Florida in the 4th grade. I spent all my extra time searching through the woods and swimming in the canals trying to catch and learn about the different species of turtles and other reptiles. I moved away from Florida in high school and didn't deal with turtles again until I found a common snapper at a flea market. After that the flood gates opened. I started herping at several locations and catching and keeping all sorts of turtles.
After catching and releasing for several years, I discovered the art of captive breeding. I found sites that were dedicated to keeping and selling turtles. The one that stood out the most was www.turtleforum.com. Since then I have been dedicated to the hobby. Working with a lot of species and getting to know a lot of good people that share the same interests. I knew I wanted to experience captive breeding of my own, but knew I would never have the time and resources to have a ultra large collection. This is where the concept of Turtle Station came from. Jeff and I designed the site and searched out several partners that share the same passion and devotion to their animals, good service, and a belief in captive breeding.
