Turtles have always been a huge part of my life, for most of my life. My
passion for turtles began when I was around nine years old. My dad
brought home a pair of Red-Eared sliders and placed them in a
seventy-five gallon fish tank. I had a huge interest in those turtles,
and since then, I have been heavily into turtles. I wasn't even ten at
the time, so my knowledge was limited. That is, until I became older,
started researching in books, online, and at local herp meetings.
I started with local, native turtles. I kept them for a while, growing my interest. Once I started seeing the more rare species of turtles online, and attending the Hamburg Reptile shows, I began to branch out. I've either owned, or own, species from turtles ranging from your common Sternotherus and Chrysemys, to more rare species like Malayemys and Phrynops. My collection is always growing and expanding. As I complete groups and sell animals, I will continue to acquire more distinct species.
Also, I am not limiting myself to just Chelonia. I also have a group of Gehyra marginata (Halmahera Giant Geckos), and Crested Geckos.
